Un'altra
notte
A game, a dream, a journey unfolding over the course of a single night. A story suspended between reality and imagination, as nightfall takes the audience on a journey through the different stages of life.
Born from the artistic collaboration between Marzia Pellegrini and Riccardo Trovato, both graduates of the Teatro Arsenale School in Milan, the performance weaves together puppetry and live music, bringing a poetic and delicate story to life.
Through the encounter between childhood and old age, two stages of life that only seem far apart, the performance explores the beauty of life’s most fragile and authentic moments. An invitation to rediscover the inner child that, all too often, we lose sight of as time goes by.

synopsis
It is night, and countless stars shine in the sky, with a magnificent moon glowing above. A magical night, one of those nights you wish would never end. Then darkness, becoming a child again, and a dream turning into a nightmare: the beginning of an inner thought, the memory of a childhood fear.
A clock ticks on. Suddenly, the passing of time thrusts us into what we will become: an elderly woman, a rocking chair and a red blanket. Bored with the stillness of the evening, Serafina comes across an old trunk where the memories of an entire lifetime have been buried, and falls asleep cradled by her past. Deep in the night, something makes a sound, something comes to life: green eyes, red hair and worn-out boots begin to move around the room.
Perhaps it is simply a little girl, or perhaps a being that has emerged from a strange dream or a long-forgotten memory. Suddenly, a clap of thunder, a frantic rush and contempt for what can be destroyed with one’s own hands. Hands that, observed and examined, gently caress the past. Why does a little girl suddenly burst into the melancholy of that starry sky? Perhaps she simply wants to keep us company, bring a smile to our faces, take us by the hand and accompany us into sleep, that eternal sleep in which the final breath is released. The last heartbeat, the heart falls still, and a harmonious music box turns round and round.
Against the backdrop of music, actors and puppets reveal to the audience the beauty and freedom of play. Freedom as a vital essence, undeniably belonging to every stage of human life, and as a force that continues to beat until the very last breath.
