Plunge into the Rings (UN CERCHIO DOPO L'ALTRO) is a clowning and physical theatre performance created as part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad. Through an invented language and a predominantly physical form of expression, it creates a story accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
On stage, three unlikely athletes face trials, obstacles and failures in a succession of comic and unexpected situations. Behind the playfulness, however, emerge the desire to improve, the value of human connection and the courage to keep going even when everything seems to go wrong. A performance that shows how great achievements often begin with small steps, a mistake, and the courage to try again.
synopsis
Crik, Kaela and Olin. Three inhabitants of the small imaginary nation of Thalària are preparing to take part in the Olympic Games for the very first time. Ready to pursue their Olympic dream, they face training sessions, unfamiliar sports and increasingly unpredictable challenges. Amid misunderstandings, mishaps and constant twists and turns, their journey towards the Olympic arena becomes a hilarious adventure, where every obstacle is an opportunity to discover something new about themselves and each other.
